Project Background
This project, located in a key energy region of Indonesia, involves the expansion of a gas-fired combined-cycle power plant and associated transmission and distribution pipelines. Given the tropical coastal climate and the high durability requirements of the pipeline system, coated composite steel pipe was selected for critical sections of the network.    ●  Complex specifications and logistics: The project required large-diameter steel pipes, specialized coating systems (e.g., 3LPE, FBE), long pipe strings, extensive prefabrication, and logistical coordination across remote sites.
   ●  Integration with existing infrastructure: The coated composite pipelines needed to be compatible with the existing pipe network, joints, welding standards, and corrosion protection systems, requiring precise engineering design and collaboration with local EPC contractors.

   ●  Advanced Coating Systems: Multi-layer polyethylene (3LPE) or fusion-bonded epoxy (FBE) external coatings are designed to resist corrosion, saltwater attack, and mechanical damage; internal coatings or concrete linings are available upon request.
   ●  Prefabrication and Logistics Management: Pipe is supplied in pre-welded sections, factory-applied protective coatings, and numbered sections, with coordinated transportation to Indonesia. Local installation support is also provided.

   ●  Coating System: Three layers of polyethylene (PE) with a total thickness of ≥ 3 mm, suitable for buried and coastal environments, with full adhesion and holiday testing.
   ●  Designed Service Life: Over 20 years with minimal maintenance, even in tropical coastal conditions.
   ●  Logistics and Installation: Multimodal transport (sea and road), factory-prefabricated segments, on-site supervision, and coating repair guidance.
   ●  Monitoring and Support: Coating integrity tracking, corrosion scanning, and operational asset health reviews.
